The first season of Strike Back premiered on May 5, 2010 and concluded on May 19, 2010 .Chris Ryan's Strike Back is a six-part British Television series based on the novel of the same name written by best-selling author and former soldier of the Special Air Service, Chris Ryan.

Cinemax announced it would be airing the original season of Strike Back as Strike Back: Origins, as it was never screened in the United States.
